Glow up Lara bloom

Such a fun book for older child/ young adult. It’s a book that a lot of pre teens will be able to relate to. Lara is a likeable character who keeps a diary but her brother reads it so she decides to go to a journal online to keep it more private… or so she thinks. The front cover is bright and eye catching. That chapters aren’t too long which is really appealing and it is broken up into mostly journal entries but also it has a script feel to it with the dialogue of characters. There are a lot of moments within the Story that children will relate to but also adults will remember from back in the school days. I am not the target audience for this book but it would make an excellent present for any pre teen girl or an early teen I would say 11+ is the recommended age there are references to body changes in the story. Lara makes some decisions that her friends didn’t agree with. Should you change yourself for a boy? Of course not but Lara is going to have to learn that herself alongside all the other changes happening in her life.
