Glow up Lara Bloom is a great teen read, and I'm sure relatable for a lot of young girls. It has every ounce of teenage school drama from the popular girls, to the crushes and the fight for boy.
I love the formatting and how it includes a lot of diary entries which makes it a quick and easy read too.
Lara and her friends are all great and quirky characters that are well written, and even her family are written well and add a lot of depth. Each character brings their own important aspect to their group and to the overall story being told.
Some parts did feel like they were written towards a slightly younger audience, but that didn't ruin the story or the messages it portrays.
