This story is told by a fourteen year old girl named Omolara Bloom ( known as Lara to her friends and family). We first meet Lara at the end of the school summer holiday when she is about to go back to her school as a year ten pupil. Lara lives with her parents and her older brother. She has been keeping a written journal of her day to day life, that is until her brother finds the journal. After finding the journal her brother , Danny, discovers one of Lara`s most personal secrets. He uses this secret to blackmail Lara into doing his chores without their parents knowing. After this Lara decides to ditch her written journal and get an app on her phone where she can keep her journal online so that nobody else will be able to see it.
