A brilliant first impression has given me high hopes for this dysfunctional family drama across three generations of the Gogarty family. I immediately felt immersed in this big hearted and colourful family and there is a real lightness of touch in the humour that really appeals. I particularly like the multiple perspective nature of the narrative which allows the reader to become a fly on the wall in the midst of a family drama. With books like this you never need to feel lonely!
