To start off, the title directly correlates to the novel, as Millie calls herself a 'broken egg'. Hopefully we might see character development, which I would be very excited to read. The cover of 'Good Eggs' is quite suitable, it easily conveys the genre of the novel: comedy. I also like the way that each character is simply (and well) represented in the cover; Kevin is stressed, Aideen is unhappy etc.
I really did enjoy the use of description in this novel; not overdone but still remains detailed. Another interesting feature is the conversational writing style Hardiman uses, very suitable for the genre of this book.
The book is set in Dublin, and many of the locations are very familiar to me, which adds relatability. I have watched Derry Girls (and enjoyed it very much), I am sure this novel will follow in the hilarious and promising path of Derry Girls.
From what I have read, the plot of this novel will keep us on the edge of our seats, constantly reading about their mishaps and accidents.
Overall, this is an incredibly promising novel which I would be delighted to read!
