I absolutely love the colour of the cover, it's bright yellow and very inviting. I knew when I started reading this that I was in for some British staples, I'm an Estonian living in the UK. Hula hoops, corner shops and the like.
The story is told through 3 different narratives, 3 different generations. You've got your nan, the grumpy son and a rebellious daughter who is so much more than people think.
The way the author writes makes reading this book a breeze, every dialogue is in Irish accent and you feel like you're reading about a family next door, or maybe your own, depending on your issues.
I loved the excerpt and if I have the chance I'd love to finish this book :)
