I really enjoyed this book! It was easy to read, funny and enjoyable. Each of the characters is very different. Grandma Millie is hilarious, and although it did take me a little while to warm to her character, she had me in stitches by the end.
I enjoyed getting to know each of the characters, each one has their own problems, and as we went through the book we got to the root of them, they were very multi-layered. The relationship between Kevin and Aideen felt very real. I would have liked to have got to know the other family members a little more as I think we missed out a little there.
I did find some of the storylines a little far fetched and unrealistic however I didn’t think that this detracted from the book.
I get the feeling reading this book that the author really put her whole heart into it. I will definitely be on the look out for more of her work in the future!
