Well what can I say about this one. I loved the fact that this story had so many avenues and I really liked the way it was written from every perspective. Interesting to have a wayward gran and mother leading the story and a troubled granddaughter helping her. I loved that Millie was a naughty octogenarian and I would definitely consider using a similar ploy to escape the carehome like she did. There was clearly nothing mentally wrong Millie and she made a great character. Kevin I felt less affection for and with good reason. Aideen was sadly cast as the wayward teen sent off to a boarding school which I can’t imagine any parent doing to one child in such a big family. I liked the idea of suspicion in Sylvias nature when Kevin meets her in the bank and I had a good idea of where the story line for her was going. The American adventure made me laugh and wasn’t Gus fantastically placed with the right connections. I do love a happy ending. Great first novel and you could definitely see a sequel. Highly recommended
