I felt this book fell a bit flat for me, which was disappointing. I really expected it to be laugh out loud funny, but instead it was just too slow.
The book is written from the perspective of Millie (The Gran), Kevin (The Dad) and Aileen (16 year old Daughter/ Granddaughter). The best way to explain it is that there was so much going on, but nothing really happens. The last few chapters were the best, and I would have preferred the story to have included more of the Jet Setting Capers as these were fun!
The synopsis of the book sounded like it would be a better story than what it was, I feel like a lot of mini stories were brought up but nothing happened with them. For example Kevin’s potential adultery could have been made into much more of a ‘thing’ than it was eluded to.
