Soooo many references to eggs in this book, all used in a jolly manner. This is a really fun read, I absolutely love Millie the grandmother, she is such a gas! All the family members are lovable characters and have there own unique style. Kevin is a unemployed, stay at home dad, going through a mid life crisis, contemplating having an affair with a 20 something lassie! Millie lives on her own, is as crazy as a box of frogs, has an addiction to thieving and gets herself into a bit of a pickle. Aideens the troubled teen, sent to boarding school to sort her out (supposedly) but only manages to create more drama there! Throw in an American carer, a heart throb teen and a last minute trip to Clearwater, Florida, and you get a very funny, amusing, where the hell is this story going, book. I really do hope that I become like Millie when I’m older, breaking out of a residential home under the cover of darkness, cycling through the streets, accidentally flashing my knickers at passers by!
