This was a good, fun, easy read. It isn't a book I expect to stay with me but I did enjoy reading it and I recommend it for those who are looking for a light read. The characters were all relatable. I liked Millie and her granddaughter Aideen and they made a good double act. Millie's son Kevin was very unlikeable. He does not appear to treat his mother very kindly and finds her quite exasperating. His strange dalliance with his daughter's teacher was also unexpected and I didn't feel very true to the character. There is not a big plot in this story, it is more a look at dysfunctional relationships between family members. The fraud storyline between Millie and Sylvia was entertaining but again felt a little far fetched.

Although this book was not laugh out loud funny it was amusing and kept me interested from beginning to end. It is not a book I couldn't wait to pick up but it was a book I enjoyed when I had picked it up.
