I was initially drawn to this book by the bright cover, giving the feeling of a fun and light hearted book. Good Eggs follows the lives of three generations of a Dublin family. Millie, a shoplifting granny is trying to avoid being sent to a retirement home by her son, Kevin. Kevin himself is battling with a range of family issues and his 16 year old daughter Aideen feels very misunderstood.

At first, it was hard to tell where this story was going, and for the first half of the book it didn't feel like there was a particularly clear plot. However, about half way through it started to pick up and became a great story (even if some of the actions taken were a little unbelievable).

I liked the development of the characters throughout the book. Overall, I found Good Eggs to be a fun story highlighting some of the difficulties of family life at all ages.
