I picked up this book because it was said to contain some of the same humour as the TV show Derry Girls. While it is not my usual genre I found it light and refreshing to read, especially if you are on a vacation and ready to relax!!!
While it’s nothing groundbreaking it offers a peaceful and joyous read that some books in this genre often fail to meet but this book met those expectations on a tenfold and I loved reading it!
It was the first I have read of this genre, and would recommend it to people who have never delved into the genre and those who have alike.
As the story unfolds nothing goes according to plan and as the calm starts to descend into chaos we're taken on a hilarious multiple-perspective roller-coaster ride that is as relatable as it is far-fetched. Do take a look at this author and her book, it makes a change from the drab and dull books published recently.
