Reading the first pages of this book, I knew straight away it would be a good egg no pun intended. Told by the perspective of three different characters it was one that I was able to relate to: the child’s experience, the fathers and the grandmothers. Tensions run high with families a lot of the time and sometimes I don’t see other people’s perspective so it was nice for this novel to acknowledge this and recognise that it’s not all about your own personal problems. I would love to read the rest of this novel and learn more about the different characters in it and what personal trials they have to face for them to come together at the end, if they come together at the end and so it would be great to see that there is more than meets the eye with these characters and that you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover and take someone at face value whatever the situation.
