I enjoyed this story, I thought it was a fun read. The story follows the Gogarty family, who are based in Dublin and we follow them through various family dramas. The story mainly follows three family members, Kevin, his step-mother Millie and his daughter Aideen and each chapter is from the point of view of each of these characters in turn. I did enjoy the different chaper perspectives but I definately enjoyed Millie's storyline a lot more than the others and would have preferred the whole book to have been about her. In fact I'm not totally sure we needed the perspectives of the other characters really. Millie is about 83 years old but you could be forgiven for thinking she was a naughty teenager instead with the laugh out loud moments and dramas she gets herself into. This is a light hearted story and quite far fetched and silly at times but during this current time it is a great distraction and escape read.
