I love the Gogarty family, especially Aideen and Millie! This book had me laughing out loud.

I was not so enamoured by Kevin, although he has endearing qualities, and found his attempted affair quite funny!

I liked the family dynamics and the lack of gender stereotypes, with Grace being the breadwinner and Kevin the stay at home dad.

The other children could have had bigger parts, especially the twin relationship.

However Millie is hysterical, I want to be like her when I am old; causing chaos and taking a wayward granddaughter on an impromptu trip to America!

The book is laugh out loud funny, especially the second half. I enjoyed Millie’s escape and the American part hugely, and am glad that Millie and Gus found some happiness in unlikely places.

The ending is lovely and I have high hopes for both Millie and Gus and Aideen and Sean.

A fun, laugh out loud read.
