I love stories about dysfunctional families where the grandmother can't be trusted and leads the teenage grandkids astray.

And that is exactly what we have with 'Good Eggs', a tale about the Gogarty family. Grandma Millie, who drives her son Kevin to distraction as he is never certain whether the next call about his mum will be from the police or the hospital.

Add to that, Kevin's daughter Aideen, who seems to attract trouble wherever she goes. Even sending her to the expensive boarding school hasn't seemed to help.

Luckily Aideen has found solace (an ally) in Millie which can only be a good thing, right?

This book was well written with chapters alternating between the view points of Kevin, Aideen and Millie, ensuring the story is fast pace, amusing and surprising in equal measure.

A great read and I can't wait to read more of Hardiman's work.
