Good eggs is a story about three generations of a Gogarty family in Dublin. The writers style is very humourous and we are introduced to different characters. There is Kevin, the recently unemployed family man who begins an affair with his receptionist - typical! He also has a twin who stirs a lot of trouble - I liked this character because I related a bit too their wild spirit. Then a teenage romance ensues later in the book - which I’m a sucker for of course. The climax is when things begin to go wrong but everything is ok in the end and we are shown that love wins in the end. This was a sweet and uplifting book which makes for a good quarantine read when you may be feeling separated from family. The writing style is easy to read but not particularly rich. This makes it simple and uplifting as you don’t have to pay a lot of attention to understand it.
