I was looking forward to sitting down to read this book because of the vibrant colours on the cover. Millie, an 83-year-old shoplifting grandmother, Kevin, an unemployed journalist son who looks after his four children while his wife travels for work, and Aideen, a 16-year-old sulky twin granddaughter, are all featured in the novel.Kevin hires Sylvia to support Millie with her treatment in the hopes of keeping her out of residential care, and he sends Aideen to a boarding school where she immediately becomes friends with a troublemaker. I like how the story is told from each of the three characters' perspectives. It got off to a slow start, but the plot quickly picked up.The storey totally immerses you in the family, and you find yourself cheering for them.I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a relaxing way to unwind!!
