This book focuses on a multi-generational Irish family who live in a small town, where everyone knows everyone and is in each other's business. The family is chock-full with a cast of funny characters: an angsty teenager, the uptight father who is trying his best and a feisty grandmother who would make petty criminals blush.

While I enjoyed the premise of the book, I found that it did take a turn for the ridiculous and the humour was often hit or miss. It almost felt forced- trying a bit too hard to present itself to be a certain way. But, all in all, it was an entertaining read that brought together humour and family drama in a way that would leave the reader satisfied, but not shouting from the rooftops. While I enjoyed my time being a fly on the wall with the family and their drama, I don't think it was something I will be remembering in the long run.
