I really like crime books but haven't read one set in a city I have been to which interests me. The IRA bomb storyline is what led me to read the first look, however the first chapter of this book is a slow start. We have a good introduction to our main character and the plot moves at a good pace but I feel like there should have been a short chapter at the start relating to her surviving the bombing (like a preview of a further chapter to give a glimpse into the action) to really hook the reader into what will happen later in the book. A crime novel starting with a pickpocket isn't the greatest start, but I am still intrigued by the outline of the plot.
