Really enjoyed this book but for some reason I just cannot take to Jane Tennison, I don't know what it is about her but I love the books. I have never watched Prime Suspect but got hooked when they showed the series "Before Prime Suspect". This book had me gripped from the start. This was the time I've read a book from lynda La Plante but It won't be the last that's for sure. I would definitely recommend this author to anyone who loves a good crime thriller book.
This is a fast-paced story continuing the personal and professional development of Jane Tennison set against the backdrop of the IRA's bombing campaign in the 1970s. Once again she finds herself in the wrong place at the right time and uses her powers of observation and relationship-building skills to both upset and impress her superiors. A good holiday read.
