Okay first and foremost. The feeling this first impression gave me was definitely Jojo Moyes vibes but it also has a little sprinkling of Jenny Colgan. Only because I was left feeling hopeful towards the end of the chapter. I love that it really sets the scene with Henry too. The way it’s described, you know how it ends but to have his perspective just makes him all the more real. He’s like the guy in PS I LOVE YOU. His name escapes me at the moment. Anywho.
