In true Jade fashion, this book has been on my TBR pile since (before) its publication, and it was a nice read, despite the matter it is focusing on.

This book follows the live of grieving Grace after the unexpected passing of her partner, Henry, who dies in a traffic accident. I don't think that I've ever read a book that deals with grief in such detail, so it was a bit daunting at first, but the more I read, the more I seemed to be enjoying it. I will say straight off the bat, however, Andy was not at all the person I expected him to be. The blurb doesn't say much about him, but who he was took me by surprise.

Never in a million years would I have thought that Andy was going to be Henry's identical twin brother that nobody knew existed, and vice versa. Andy didn't know Henry existed until it was too late.

When I requested this book, I thought it had a Jojo Moyes feeling to it, with it reminding me of Me Before You, and if you've read my review of that, you'll know how I felt about it. Lucky for me, though, it didn't follow the same premise, so I was safe when it came to tears. Despite the heavy subject matter, I felt like the story didn't focus on Grace's past with Henry, but more how she was in the moments after his death, and her hopes for the future. We did get to see a few snippets, both good and bad, into their past together, and it seemed like they were the right fit for each other, it's a shame Henry met the ending he did.
