This is the second novel that I’ve read by Eithne Shortall and I really enjoyed it as much as the first. Eithne is a great author and I love her Irish humour. The opening was quite heartbreaking with Grace’s loss of Henry and I cried a number of times throughout the book as Grace toyed with her feelings for Andy as an individual rather than as a clone of Henry. I loved all the characters – Grace, Aoife, Larry, the Three Wise Men, Grace’s Mum and Dad, but my favourite was definitely Betty – she made me laugh out loud. I loved the way Eithne decided to end the book – it was definitely the right path, as the alternative might have been a bit weird. A great book – highly recommended. Love the cover too.
