As soon as I started this book I got "PS: I Love You" vibes and I loved it. "PS: I Love You" was the first ever heartbreaking book that I read and it brought me so many good memories that my expectations for "Grace After Henry" were suddenly really high.

And it didn't dissapoint me! It's difficult to like a book so sad like this one but I did. I loved Grace. I thought she was a very strong young woman who went through the worst but came out stronger than she was before.

I liked how much she respected Henry, how much she loved him, how much she cared for him... It was amazing to read the way she was talking about him and it was quite hard to read how much she missed him. I liked how the story developed itself and it was nice to see how Grace tried to find joy and be positive despite her situation.

I had a lump in the throat for the first 417 pages and this book does have 417 pages. It was so hard to read, so emotional, so raw and ugly but beautiful and cute that I could really feel what Grace was feeling. It felt like I went through all these emotions with her. I even missed Henry myself!

I loved the chapters based in the past. They allowed me to have a quick look at Grace's life before Henry left and I could understand her feelings towards him and the current situation a lot better.

I loved every step of the way and the conclusion. I loved the ending and how everything got wrapped up. It was a very satisying way of ending this book and I thought it was perfect.

This is the second book that I read by Eithne Shortall and them both have been great. I will definitely check out her future books without a doubt!
