My first impression of the cover of this book made it seem that the contents would be a bit too "chick-lit" for my taste, an impression which would be confirmed by the opening pages, however, by the time I got to the end of p28 I'd begun to think that the story is likely to be darker and more disturbing than it at first appears. I now feel I've been drawn into what sounds like an interesting take on the mystery surrounding the disappearance of a family member, a psychological exploration of the long-term effects of loss and the need to find answers before being able to move on ... and I'd love to discover these answers for myself!
