Its quite a well written book, a bit weird, and there is potential. But i didnt enjoy the writing style, relate to the characters or find the mystery engaging. For once, this really wasnt my cup of Echinacea-mint tea.

Written from the first person perspective is a tricky one, theres potential for a hit or miss, unfortunately i didnt find anything about the protagonist that i identified with, she was a bit terse too. Her view of the world was like looking through manure tinted spectacles and not the fun type of manure, she did produce some funny lines though and she is weird enough to be interesting.

One of my favourite books was set in Tasmania, alas this shared none of the magic of natures scenic beauty. There were some good descriptions of houses, the little things the characters interact with like the money in the frying pan.

The mystery of the book which comes randomly in the post didn't thrill me. But i liked the relationship between brother and sister, there was a genuine connection, even if this was a fleeting interaction. The other characters didn't interact with nearly enough fluidity, like an episode of the office.

For those who got on better with the character and mystery, you could add another 2 stars.
