Abigail's brother Robert has gone missing, he has been gone many years and she and her parents cannot get over it.
One day she is invited to a retreat by "The guidebook", little missives that throughout her life keep popping through the post and in her heart she believes these have something to do with Robert's disappearance.
Can these scraps of wisdom and information be traced back to him? Can they help her in any way?
Going on the retreat and meeting up with other members of the mysterious guidebook Abi sets out on a life journey to discover not only what happened to Robert bit discovers a lot about herself too.
This was soooo mundane, it was actually hard to write a review.
Nothing much happens, it's all told in a disjointed, fragmentary style and it was waaaay too hippy trippie for my tastes.
I felt nothing for the characters so found it hard to engage with them in fact I thought they were all totally barmy and just came across as idiots, I don't know how she strung it out for nearly 500 pages!
Not for me, this is my first work by this author and based on this work I won't be reading anymore.
