I find myself completely at odds with this novel. I haven't read too many spy thrillers and this one initially caught my eye. The blurb was 'ok' but not entirely enticing (the reference to James Bond immediately annoyed) but I persevered. I believe this to be the third in a series, and while I don't think coming late to the series will hamper the enjoyment of the read here, the initial chapter was off-putting. The way this is written is not to my liking and I don't think this is going to be one for me.
