I thought it might be a silly idea to try the third book in a series having not read the others, but I'm glad I did. I now know it's not a series I want to read. The extract had an unpleasant feel to it, and doesn't sound like a read I'd enjoy. Even as a self proclaimed 'sailor' of the swearing variety.
