I think if I had read the other novels in this series first then maybe I would have felt more of a connection to this book. As I was, I enjoyed the novel, I’d describe it as an average book amongst other spy novels, nothing particularly wrong with it but not a stand out great either. Parts of it felt slow and drawn out - but as I say that could be because I hadn’t read the other books and was missing something?!?? The writing style was easy to follow and the plot flowed along in a way that made sense to the reader.
I particularly enjoyed the last third of the book more so than the rest, maybe because things were all being tied up and coming together. The cover is great too.
