The ’Hammer to the Fall’ book cover imagery appears more like a war novel, rather than shouting out ‘spy thriller’.

However, I love indulging in a classic spy thrilling novel and the fact that the synopsis highlights the novel is set in the ‘swinging sixties’, where the main character travels between London & Finland - definitely excites the inner bookworm in me, to jump at the chance to read this book.

I was extremely lucky to win a copy of this book & I have finished it already!
Very impressed with how John Lawton, brings the characters to life in a challenging situation - as well as bringing some laugh out loud reality to the story.

Joe Wilderness is an MI6 agent who meets an array of colourful characters through his espionage and adventures. This is the third book within the Joe Wilderness series, but it is easy to follow without having read the previous books.

Sit back and enjoy a journey through European cities, whilst discovering what happens when Joe Wilderness has to make some big decisions that will affect more than just his set spy mission.
