Couldn't finish it
I really wanted to love this book because the Cold War is a period of history that I enjoy learning about.
The opening chapters of the book are good. They helped set the scene and I was looking forward to learning more about the smuggling operation; no spoilers here, this is in the first chapter. The main characters were ok but seemed to me to get tangled with new characters very quickly and I found myself having to stop and go back to figure out who was who - something I don't usually have a problem with.
Finding the novel quite difficult to get on with and getting bored by what was initially an interesting story I found myself not wanting to pick it up and read it - and that's the point to put the book into the charity shop pile and read something else.
