I found the writing very difficult, for me it did not flow and the story kept jumping. In fact I gave up about half way through. I could not warm to the characters, or the story line. The author John Lawton uses many words that I did not understand. For me I would have needed a glossary to help me understand, this again was not helping the story to flow.
This is the third book in the Joe Wilderness novels, and this one does not make me want to read the first two books in the series.
The story moves from cold Finland to the cold war in Prague. Wilderness has been posted to Finland and board by his work he finds another way to make money, smuggling vodka into USSR. He strikes a deal with an old KGB pal but there is something very fishy about KGB,s sudden appearance
