I thought Hammer to Fall would be an interesting read. However, this was a book that did not grip me from the start. This is by no means the fault of the author but just mainly my own preference. I am always willing to try new authors and different genres, however this book was not for me. I thought the protagonist would keep me interested but unfortunately not. I also struggled with the setting and the subject matter, as it is not something that interests me. I also did not like the book cover, it did not appeal to me and would not be a book that I would pick up from a bookshop. I think if the cover was more inviting it would draw more people in and they would then read it. However, I would be willing to try this author again.
