I am really not the target audience for this book, but i admit to being quite charmed by the opening chapters. Hana appears to be a realistically written character; a modern young woman who is trying to balance her ambitions while remaining true to her family and beliefs. Podcasts are very much the thing right now, so to have Hana meeting Stanley via her podcasts is a good way of catching the moment. There is the danger that this becomes a predictable rom com, but it has opened with a fresh and original way.
