The cover of this book left me unconvinced. I liked the colours and the nod to the fact that the main character has a different culture to me (always a positive to add diversity to my reads) but I'm not a big fan of light reads of rom coms so it didn't immediately appeal.
Despite that the blurb sounded okay and I wanted to start the book. I did not last more than 9 pages into this preview... Not because I didn't like it but because I did. I didn't want to get drawn in and have to stop. I really enjoyed the writing style and the main characters happy, colloquial and humerous style. I really liked the name of her family's restaurant and it gave me the impression of a funny, sensitive and interesting story ahead
