I read the author’s previous book, Ayesha At Last, and enjoyed it more than I thought I would and if I was a modern romance reader then this would probably be up my street as the first impression is undemanding and lightly humorous. Although the novel seems to be more than just a romance with a hate attack occurring in the midst of it the story isn’t quite the escapism I’m after.
