This is an easy read and it’s quite upbeat but has topics throughout the book that can be a bit upsetting to a reader.
Hana Khan is a young Muslim girl that was born and grew up in Canada.
Her mother has running a restaurant for the last 15 years but unfortunately it is in real trouble. Hana also is an intern at a local radio station.
A new man comes on the scene and plans to open a rival shop on the same parade of shops as her mother’s restaurant’three sisters’.
Certain topics are addressed throughout the book with the struggles of being a minority in a different country.
It has a very positive outcome and that is all done to the actions that Hana takes when faced with hard situations.
Love, rasicm, money worries, career worries and family are at the heart of this book.
Overall a really lovely read that I would recommend to anyone that is maybe looking for a lighter read.
