I always get really excited when I discover a book where the character is of an Indian/Asian Descent because it's not something I see often and that's why I was drawn to this book so much. It was a little slow at the start, but it was one of those books that though it was slow, I still really wanted to read it and I liked it within the first couple of chapters. I loved Hana as a character because I loved how her and her family weren't represented as a generic Muslim family (I'm not Muslim, so it was interesting to read everything). I also just loved how relatable she was, I could understand why she wanted her podcast to remain anonymous and I loved her passion about the projects she wanted to complete. Racism was an important topic in the story and I really think the author did a fantastic job of writing it and showing us what it is like in Canada because more often than not you see the perspective from other countries. Basically, I really liked the book!
