I loved the book. It was a cute slow burn romance. Eventhough a reader would automatically figure the person hana is texted is also the owner of the restaurant, it was still cute. I really looked forward for when he revealed his identity and I was not disappointed! But I think the main takeaway from this book was the representation of muslims but also south asian people!
Having the radio talk show highlight that south asian people are more than south asian. They are essentially a human as well. The characters were fleshed out and were delivered with a simple but effective storyline. The author did not choose to create a story of two dimensional characters that had the romantic plot the focus. And credit goes to her!
Also with many books about islam, they tend to deliver the subject as if there is a problem with her faith etc, and I am very glad this was not the case. A muslim women can easily find love without having it conflict her faith
