Hana Khan Carries On by Uzma Jalaluddin is a brilliant read and one that I couldn’t put down. As soon as I started reading this book I knew I was going to enjoy it.

The book is really well written - I liked the style of writing and I had to keep reading just one more chapter! It’s a story about family, culture, love and loss.

Hana is such a likeable character and one with lots of hopes and dreams - I spent the whole novel wanting things to work out for her. Hana’s family members add so much to the story too, they deal with lots of difficult issues together and I really liked the dynamics between each of them. I really liked Hana’s cousin Rashid - his character was brilliant.

The book cover (which I also like) describes it as a ‘sparkling new rom-com for fans of You’ve Got Mail’, but for me it was so much more! I would highly recommend this and I look forward to reading the author’s other novel soon.
