The front cover of this book is gorgeous and appealed to me straight away. I expected this book to be a light hearted modern day romantic chick lit but it was much more than that!

I love the diversity of this book as there aren't many books that have South Asian Muslim characters. I learnt a lot about the culture by the words used and food described, the author does a good job at making it easy to understand and relatable.

There were a lot of wise advice throughout the book, an example is that everyone should be able to choose the path they want to take in life. Also, it touches upon racism hate-motivated attacks, which is such a taboo subject but happens daily. This bought out a lovely feeling of community within the neighbourhood and one of her listeners so it was really wholesome.

I really enjoyed the author's writing style, it was light and an easy read. Hana and Aydin's relationship was lovely and there was a lot of character development between the two.
