Hana Khan's family own a restaurant that is just not paying its way anymore.
Still they struggle on but they are faced with new competition when another restaurant is swt to open on their own patch.
Their new business rival is Aydin, a total heartbreaker who she simultaneously is attracted to and and hates for the distress he is causing.
Her radio job, podcast and a secret admirer keeps her sane amidst the family turmoil.
With the restaurant due to close and racial hatred burgeoning in the community she gets closer to Aydin and realises she may know him better than she thinks she does.
This was such a brilliant story blending a fresh, vibrant tale with great plot and characters and a heartfelt social message on community, racism and the power of working together.
I really enjoyed this, it was such a great read and though YA in tone it can be enjoyed by anyone.
