Great story
I wasn’t completely sure what to expect from this book but I ended up really enjoying it. The story is of a young Muslim woman who has a podcast and helps out in her parents restaurant when a rival restaurant opens down the road and tries to close her family’s already struggling restaurant down. A few things happen throughout the book but ultimately everything turns out okay.
Things I loved about this book was the storyline - a cute enemy to lovers (sort of) story and the way it addressed stronger issues such as hate crime, racism and stereotypes. There were also a few unexpected plots within the story but the main ‘twist’ is very obvious from the start (although I’m not sure if that’s deliberate?)
I felt the characters lacked depth and I never really found myself that invested in their story. There were only two characters I really liked and neither were main characters.
Overall, a lovely story that I would definitely recommend.
