Wow what an intriguing book!
Hana lives in Canada and her parents are Indian immigrants. They own a small restaurant that is failing and a new restaurant is coming to the ‘golden crescent’ selling halal meat. This is a direct competition and Hana feels it needs to be taken down. The story also revolves around her podcast and internship and at local radio station which comes up with its own problems. There is a complex story with Ayden and a lot of the characters storylines could have a novel in itself.
This heart warming story is beautifully written and has a few shock factors. If I put it down it’d be too much of a cliff hanger so I had to keep reading, I really hope the author does a sequel as I’d love to know the next chapter of this story.
The characters are relatable and due to the descriptions and emotional language I was invested in each character individually. A great read!!
