I really enjoyed this book. I related to the characters and the struggles Hana went through. It was nice to see Islam and south Asian culture portrayed from someone from the inside 'looking out' (yes I quoted the book) and the connection to the characters was one of the reasons I gave it such a high rating.
It was a quick read, and I got really into it from the very beginning. I was rooting for Hanaan and Aydin immediately!
I haven't come across many rivals to lovers books in general, and the fact this was one where one of my favourite tropes related to me was amazing. Not to mention that the humour in this book was great, Rashid is by far my favourite side character. Uzma is a brilliant author and I will be reading Ayesha at last because of how good the quality of writing was.
