After only reading the sample, I am already hooked!

I love that Hanaan is so open about her life to the reader. Her honesty about what she feels is refreshing; there's no lies to us! It's difficult to find a story about south Asian women that does go into westernised stereotypes, especially about hijabi wearing women. I come from a city that has a large south Asian Muslim community so I love reading about other cities that have the same and comparing. Although I'm not sure I'd like to try byriani poutine...

The layout is easy to read, with the podcast is in a different layout to the standard story, as are the messages and letters she receives. It makes it easier for me (a dyslexic) to read and navigate the story.

I want to see what happens between Hanaan and Stanley P, as well as how her family restaurant survive a new kid on the block. I'm excited to read the rest!
