I absolutely adored immersing myself in Hana Khan's world. This book is like watching a feel good rom-com... witty, modern and inclusive. I loved learning more about Hana's way of life and how the older, more traditional family members adapted to modern day life in Toronto, also accepting that the younger generations had their own ways of adapting to be themselves but also to fit in.

Hana's family run an Indian restaurant in a multicultural neighbourhood of Toronto. She doesn't want to work in the restaurant long-term, but is a budding journalist and radio producer, however when her family's restaurant is threatened by a wealthy new restauranteer she is forced to use all her skills to save the day.

This book tackles race, romance, culture and hate crimes but all with a sensitive and witty voice. Highly recommend and loved having some more diverse reading this week!
